Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Energy Manager, the Energy Coordinator, Facilities Planning and Real Estate is responsible for coordinating a variety of energy management, sustainability and utility projects for Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and partner health organizations. Works with the organization's stakeholders to achieve energy management and sustainability goals and optimal energy use at the various sites through site improvements, due diligence on the performance of contracts and providing strategic information to support these processes. The Coordinator provides leadership and consultation to assigned project staff and communicates with staff to complete the assigned energy projects; acts as a contact with private sector project consultant, utility providers and internal user groups on project development contracts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent level of education, plus a certificate in sustainable energy management, supplemented with three (3) to five (5) years' recent, related experience in energy management in a large complex organization, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage components of large engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment including related software applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
