Reporting to the Technical Quality Manager, the Engineering Application Support Analyst will work with a large multi-disciplined team of engineers and technologists to maintain traceable data across CAD and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems. They will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to improve data integrity and act as a driving force for continuous improvement in the way Fleetway manages engineering software.

The Engineering Application Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting the configuration, customization, and maintenance of ShipConstructor 3D models using an Aras Innovator PLM platform. They will also provide technical support for other CAD software used throughout engineering teams.

Responsibilities

- Support the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing operation of PLM environments and CAD software
- Provide application support for engineering tools, including PLM and CAD systems
- Assist engineers with tool usage, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Support engineering workflows involving shipbuilding and engineering drawings
- Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of CAD and engineering tools
- Delivers training and on-boarding sessions for new users. Develop and maintain registered processes and work-flows.
- Support current tools and assist with the adoption of ShipConstructor as the primary modeling and drafting tool
- Work with tools such as Aras Innovator PLM, ShipConstructor (3D modeling), and AutoCAD.
- Apply scripting or programming skills to enhance or support engineering applications.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science or a Technology Diploma.

Experience

- 2-5 years’ of relevant experience.
- Experience working on implementing or maintaining PLM environments and CAD software is required.
- Experience working in the shipbuilding industry, reading engineering drawings, or with Aras Innovator PLM, ShipConstructor 3D modeling and AutoCAD are considered an asset.
- Scripting and programming experience are considered an asset.
