Position Overview: The Recovery Equipment Operator will work as part of a team to provide superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for performing glycol recovery services and the safe and efficient operation of all other processing equipment while abiding by Inlands policies and procedures. Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture and instilling this culture while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with all employee-focused regulations and state and federal rules and regulations

- Follow all safety policies, standards, and procedures in order to achieve a secure and healthy work environment for all staff, customers, and visitors. Similarly support Inland’s environmental commitments by helping to limit our organization’s impact on the ecosystem
- Comply with all Government Labour, Health and Safety laws, regulations and policies
- To professionally operate and maintain the company’s Glycol Recovery Vehicles and other associated equipment within close proximity to aircraft, airfield personnel and equipment
- To work cooperatively with all other staff involved in the completion of assigned duties and to maintain communications between other employees and shifts about current conditions of machines
- To work cooperatively with airport authority and outside contractor(s) while representing yourself in the best image for the company
- To perform daily vehicle, walk-around inspections utilizing appropriate checklists
- To perform and record light maintenance tasks on Vehicles and Equipment, and immediately report any repair requirements
- To follow the Equipment Fuelling SOP to ensure operational readiness during your shift
- To routinely inspect de-icing surfaces while on shift,



and promptly collect spent aircraft de-icing fluid (ADF) well before the risk of fluid escape
- To be alert and aware of other apron traffic, and to only begin vacuuming when it can be done safely without interfering with aircraft movement. Aircraft always have the right of way
- To empty the debris tank into Inland’s storage vessels well before the risk of overfill. The debris tank must be emptied of solids on a regular basis, and fluids should never be stored in the debris tank overnight
- Assist with Processing Operations and/or facility improvement when required
- Maintain facility cleanliness and appearance including garbage removal, washroom cleaning and restocking and other general cleaning requirements
- Promote the best interest of the company by fostering goodwill and support between IDS and its customers ensuring that Inland’s policy of superior service and satisfaction are met
- Morning shifts - 5.30 am-3.30 pm (10-hour shift) on a 4 on 4 off rotation Evening shifts - 3.00 pm-1.00 am (10-hour shift) on a 4 on 4 off rotation High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of aircraft and how they perform
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Class 3 Driver’s License considered an asset.

The Recovery Equipment

Operator will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts





- There will be times when they will be required to work outside of their normal work schedule, so that we may meet the needs of our customers and/or operational requirements. Position involves standing or sitting for extended periods of time as well as bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing, using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and arms
- Work outdoors for long periods when necessary
- Wearing of personal protective equipment when required and full mobility allowing for freedom of movement in high-risk environment
- Positions may be full-time or part- time as determined by operational requirements. Due to the seasonal nature of our business, and the direct impact of weather on our operation, hours of work are to be flexible with additional hours possibly required during certain weather events. Employees can expect to have shifts in part or in whole scheduled in any or all of the two functions for this position as outlined above.
