Our Distribution group is currently looking to add an Equipment Operator to our growing team, based in Sherwood Park, AB. Reporting to the Manager, Subdivisions, we are seeking an experienced operator to operate trackhoe and backhoe equipment for new shallow underground utility construction in residential subdivisions around Edmonton. Understanding of soil mechanics and work with geotechnical engineers on density testing of soils Be aware of proper rigging equipment and procedures for lifting materials Complete daily equipment inspection forms Participate in daily work planning schedule meetings Assist ground crew in duties out of equipment when there is no operating work Maintain good housekeeping practices Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification ~ Must have a valid Class-5 driver's license and an acceptable drivers abstract ~ Must be flexible to working varying hours Valard Construction is Canada's premier utility contractor providing comprehensive EPC+ (engineering, procurement, construction) and maintenance services to utilities, independent power producers,
