What We Look For In a ESL/ELL Tutor Deep knowledge of English phonology, grammar structures, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, writing conventions, listening skills, and speaking fluency for non-native speakers. Ability to explain verb tense system, article usage, preposition patterns, pronunciation challenges by language background, and academic English conventions while preparing students for TOEFL, IELTS, or academic success.
