Artitalia Group is currently looking for an estimator to join our team.

The main objective of the estimator will be to prepare detailed analyses of product production costs. He/she will collaborate with various departments to respond to customer requests for proposals.

- Responsibilities
- Determine the costs and selling prices of products
- Manage estimation documents
- Other tasks

1- Determine the costs and selling prices of the products

- Calculate raw material requirements
- Determine methods and evaluate manufacturing times for estimated products.
- Approach suppliers for price requests for raw materials and services for estimated product.
- Make sure to collect all the information necessary for estimates from buyers, customers, project managers, etc.

2 – Manage estimation documents

- Archive copies of relevant documents and communications in the submission file
- Communicate relevant information to project managers

3 – Other Tasks

- Analyze, identify and establish opportunities to improve processes and methods
- Maintain pre-established KPIs and analyze variances
- Participate in the team’s efforts to achieve the department’s goals
- Comply with the instructions and policies of the company as well as the Estimation department
- Works on moderately complex projects with minimal supervision




- Masters the tools and procedures of the department
- Knows the different manufacturing capabilities of the company
- Able to make estimates with minimal information

Requirements

- DEC/BAC in Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant discipline or any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant
- Experience
- 3-5 years in a similar position
- Experience in estimating “custom” products
- Manufacturing cost estimation

- Specific Knowledge

- Positive knowledge of the technical processes of metal and/or wood processing
- MS office
- Bilingualism (French and English)
