Based at our Edmonton location, the Estimator/Applications Engineer supports the Sales & Estimating department.
You will craft competitive proposals and accurate cost estimates based on in-depth analysis of project documentation. This position also plays a key role in collaboration with sales and execution teams to ensure project alignment and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer project documentation for technical requirements
- Develop accurate, compliant proposals for projects
- Communicate Powell’s compliance and provide necessary clarifications
- Create Basis of Estimate and Basis of Schedule documentation
- Collaborate with project teams to utilize estimating tools
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 1-3 years estimating experience preferred
- Familiarity with electrical switchgear is an asset
- Proficient in AutoCAD and advanced Excel
- Understanding of local codes like Canadian Electrical Code
