Job Details Company: Elwood Catering Location: Milton, Halton Region and the Greater Toronto Area Job type: Casual, part-time and event-based Compensation: $25–$32 per hour, based on experience About the Position Elwood Catering is expanding its culinary team and seeking skilled, dependable catering chefs for weddings, corporate functions and private events throughout Halton Region and the GTA. This is an ongoing, flexible position. Team members may accept event shifts according to their availability.

We are looking for chefs who understand off-site catering and can confidently execute plated dinners and buffet service.

Responsibilities Prepare and execute food for plated dinners and buffets Complete on-site cooking, reheating, finishing and presentation Organize and execute efficient plating lines Maintain consistency across every guest’s plate Follow standardized recipes, menus and portion requirements Coordinate service timing with lead chefs and event supervisors Monitor food quality, holding temperatures and safe food-handling practices Set up and maintain organized satellite kitchens and buffet stations Assist with loading, unloading,



setup and kitchen breakdown Maintain a clean and professional workspace Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams Qualifications Minimum two years of professional culinary experience preferred Previous experience with a professional catering company strongly preferred Experience executing plated dinners and high-volume buffet service Strong knife skills, organization and attention to presentation Ability to follow detailed event timelines and service instructions Comfortable working in temporary and off-site kitchens Dependable, punctual and able to work calmly under pressure Able to work independently and collaboratively Valid Ontario Food Handler Certificate preferred Reliable transportation strongly preferred, as event locations vary Ability to safely lift and carry catering equipment and food containers Schedule Schedule Shifts are primarily available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with additional weekday corporate events. Hours and locations vary by event. Candidates can accept shifts based on their availability, but reliability is essential once a shift has been confirmed.
