Valard Construction seeks a Field Heavy Equipment Technician to support the Waasigan Transmission Line project near Thunder Bay, ON. This role combines mechanical expertise with hands-on maintenance of heavy machinery. You will play a crucial role in maintaining construction equipment vital for project success.

Your responsibilities will involve troubleshooting, repairing, and conducting preventative maintenance. This field position follows a schedule of 20 days on / 8 days off, with provided camp accommodations for work-life balance. Key Responsibilities:

- Repair various heavy equipment utilized in construction
- Diagnose issues in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct productive preventative maintenance checks
- Log service records and inventory supplies
- Collaborate with supervisors for prioritized repairs

Requirements:

- Journeyperson or 4th Year Apprentice HD Mechanic certification
- Familiarity with wire stringing technology
- Experience using JalTest diagnostic tools
- Valid Class G driver's licence with acceptable record
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
