Tasks and responsibilities

- Perform inventory and analysis of Oracle databases to be migrated

- Define migration strategies, rollback plans, and risk mitigations

- Prepare target environments and run Oracle database migrations to AWS and Oracle@AWS

- Administer Oracle components, including ASM, Data Guard, TDE, RMAN, OEM, and RAC

- Coordinate activities with application, security, network and infrastructure stakeholders

- Perform technical validations and support application testing

- Participate in release, post-migration stabilization and knowledge transfer activities

Profile you are looking for

- Have a strong background in the administration of critical Oracle databases

- Be proficient in Oracle Database (12c, 19c or newer), ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), RAC, and Oracle Recovery Service (ARS)

- Have significant experience in carrying out complex Oracle migration projects

- Experience with Oracle to AWS database migrations

- Analyze application dependencies and technical impacts associated with migrations

- Design migration, recovery, and rollback strategies for critical environments

- Set up and validate cloud target environments

- Understand high availability architectures and disaster recovery strategies

- Manage backups, restores,



and data recovery mechanisms with RMAN

- Control Oracle configuration files, wallets, and encryption keys

- Knowledge of Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), certificate management, access controls, and identity governance

- Integrate security requirements into all migration activities

- Use automation tools, scripting languages such as Shell or Python, and automated framework practices

- Demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Provide technical leadership and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

- Operate in mission-critical environments that require high availability and the management of multiple migrations simultaneously

- Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or ExaCC environments (an asset)

- Experience with Oracle workloads in AWS (an asset)

- Have worked in a highly regulated environment, especially in the banking sector (an asset)

- Participate in large-scale cloud transformation programs (an asset)

This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and qualified communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada.

Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
