Thyssen Mining is a leading underground mining contractor with operations across Canada. We are seeking experienced Construction Miners to join our growing team in British Columbia. What You'll Do

As a Construction Miner, you will support underground construction and development activities including:

- Concrete placement and finishing
- Formwork construction and installation
- Shotcrete application and support activities
- Installation of underground infrastructure and services
- Operation of construction tools and equipment
- Ground support and rehabilitation projects
- Material handling and site preparation
- Conducting workplace inspections and hazard assessments
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work workplace
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, operators, and tradespeople

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of underground mining or construction experience
- Experience with formwork, concrete placement, and shotcrete applications
- Strong understanding of underground construction practices
- Ability to work safely in a production mining environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physically capable of performing demanding underground work
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications





- Experience operating jacklegs, pneumatic drills, and underground construction equipment
- Underground mine rescue or emergency response training
- Valid driver's licence
- Experience on development, rehabilitation, or mine construction projects

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in underground environments that may be wet, dusty, and noisy
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Must be able to wear required PPE and respiratory protection when necessary
