- Cuts raw materials needed for the fabrication of Unifiller frames nozzles and attachments.
- Deburrs sharp edges from prepared raw materials.
- Performs basic machining operations such as cutting, drilling and tapping of raw materials and sub components.
- Reads, interprets and follows drawings, BOM’s and other specifications to determine welding/fabricates requirements.
- Ensures that all products meet specified tolerances, while following and meeting all quality standards essential to Unifiller Systems standards.
- Assists with training of new employees when requested.
- Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and procedures
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to facilitate efficient processes and good safety practices.
- Puts away raw materials in to appropriate racks, and keeps raw material areas clean and tidy and free from hazards.
- Cleans components after welding to remove heat marks, uses pickling paste, and hand tools including grinders and sanders where appropriate.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

- Education: Secondary diploma,
- Experience: Ideally some welding/fabricating experience , and/or some experience in a machines shop
- Manufacturing experience, working with stainless steel an asset
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures
- Excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods
- Able to lift minimum 40lbs
