Summary:
The Family Support Worker provides outreach intervention services to families who are experiencing difficulties with parenting and who are potentially at risk of family breakdown.
Qualifications:
- Minimal Human Service Worker Diploma with 5 years’ experience or A Bachelor of Social Work and two (2) years related experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of St’át’imc culture and ability to work with Aboriginal people.
Duties & Responsibilities

- knowledge of community resources available to clients and their families and how to access them.
- The ability to use tact and positive judgment in dealing with sensitive and complex issues.
- Proven crisis intervention skills.
- Work individually and with a team
- Responsible for records, file maintenance, and reporting.
- Must be willing to submit to and clear a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
