Role Description The Finance Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing financial operations that support AOII’s collegiate and alumnae chapters, as well as central Fraternity functions. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and monitoring budgets, tracking income and expenses, reconciling accounts, and generating regular financial reports for leadership and stakeholders. The role manages payment processing, assists with annual audits, and ensures adherence to financial policies and compliance requirements.

Manager collaborates with staff and volunteer leaders to provide guidance on financial best practices and to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools, as well as strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliation, and basic audit and compliance practices.
- Solid organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience working with nonprofit, membership-based, or educational organizations is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Commitment to ethical financial practices and alignment with AOII’s mission and values.
