We deliver advice-based banking while providing tools that reduce complexity, offering the right information, and motivating our Members to reach their overall financial goals. Our Retail teams work alongside our partners in Wealth, Small Business, and Mobile Mortgage Specialists to support our Members' holistic financial growth. As a senior member of the branch sales/leadership team, the primary responsibilities for this position will be to understand the financial needs of our Members and provide the appropriate advice and recommendations to fit their needs.
This will include offering large or complex credit and investment advice as well as proactively identifying and promoting opportunities for Meridian products and services. In this role the Financial Services Advisor will be responsible for meeting and exceeding specific individual and team-based business goals. The Financial Services
Advisor will work alongside and align financial strategies and activities to support Meridian’s internal business partners – Wealth, Small Business, Mobile Mortgage Specialists to ensure value added delivery of Member centric products/solutions. Values diversity of thought and promotes inclusion Be a highly engaged team player working co-operatively with your peers within the branch and across Meridian including corporate office and other Member Experience partners. Develop goals with Manager that are clearly defined, measurable and achievable, and align them to business unit and strategic priorities for Meridian Actively participate and support the team in the planning process, assisting with implementation and providing feedback.
Participates and leads branch activities in support of expanding the Member relationship and growing share of wallet including growing our Digital Ambassador Program Serves Members with excellence Provide investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that fit and meet our Member needs. Within approval limits approve or provide recommendations on credit products based on thorough,
accurate and appropriate credit interviewing and underwriting skills Engage in revenue generation and sales based activities in order to achieve performance objectives. Open new Member accounts using account opening strategies Hold or willingness to obtain Mutual fund accreditation and maintain thorough knowledge of economic and market conditions Embrace virtual technology platforms and leverage them to host meetings and engage in impactful communication with Members To appropriate partners in Retail Wealth, Small Business and Commercial Balance and process daily work in accordance to standard compliance, audit, policies and procedures Works with the Branch leadership team, to champion and implement corporate strategies and programs for the branch.

Strong desire for career growth within the financial services industry Strong business acumen and financial industry knowledge Strong knowledge of computer systems.

CAD 60,000 – $69,000 annually Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. This role is in office at 3051 Walkers Line, Units 3&4 Burlington, ON L7M 0W3.
