Our Retail teams work alongside our partners in Wealth, Small Business, and Mobile Mortgage Specialists to support our Members' holistic financial growth. As a Financial Services Representative (12-Month Contract) As our Financial Services Representative, you will be joining a team of highly engaged financial service professionals who are dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. As a member of the branch sales and service team, the primary responsibilities for this position will be to understand the financial needs of our Members and provide the appropriate advice and recommendations.

This will include completing front line transactional services to support our Members day to day banking, as well as an opportunity to grow by fulfilling advisory sales role such as opening new accounts, offering credit, deposit, identifying opportunities for wealth referrals, as well as positioning Meridian’s products and services to add value to our Members financial well being. As you take initiative and accountability you are joining a team that provides autonomy to get things done and will be accountable for a variety of support functions within the branch.

The Financial Services

Representative will work alongside and align financial strategies and activities to support Meridian’s internal business partners – Wealth, Small Business, Mobile Mortgage Specialists to ensure value added delivery of Member centric products/solutions. Values diversity of thought and promotes inclusion Be a highly engaged team player working co-operatively with your peers within the branch and across Meridian including corporate office and other Member Experience partners. Develop goals with Manager that are clearly defined, measurable and achievable, and align them to business unit and strategic priorities for Meridian Actively participate and support the team in the planning process, assisting with implementation and providing feedback.





Participates and leads branch activities in support of expanding the Member relationship and growing share of wallet including growing our Digital Ambassador Program.

Serves

Members with excellence Works with the Branch leadership, to champion and implement corporate strategies and programs for the branch. Ensure proper due diligence by posting all transactions accurately and timely Embraces virtual technology platforms and leverages them to host meetings and engage in impactful communication with Members Engage in revenue generation and sales-based activities in order to achieve performance objectives. Provide investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that fit and meet our Member needs.

Within approval limits approve or provide recommendations on credit products based on thorough, accurate and appropriate credit interviewing and underwriting skills Open new Member accounts using account opening strategies Works with the Branch leadership, to champion and implement corporate strategies and programs for the branch.

develops digital and analytical skills in direct reports Creates a Supportive and Positive Team Environment: creates and contributes to a positive team workplace which encourages innovation, risk taking, and learning; leverages the strengths and opportunities of the broader marketing team Education, Work Experience, and Skilled Designations/Certifications ~ Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in a financial services sales environment an asset Salary Range: CAD 50,000 to 58,000 annually Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. This role is based in-office at our Hespeler Branch in Cambridge, located at 101 Holiday Inn Dr, Unit B4, Cambridge, ON N3C 1Z3, CAN.
