AFixtureEstimatorisresponsibletoproduceaccuratequotes,proposals,andestimatesforCustomerreview.

PrimaryDutiesandResponsibilities:

- Review,understand,andsummarizecustomerrequestforquotes(RFQ’s).
- Contactcustomersforclarificationorothercorrespondenceasrequired.
- Reviewcustomersupplieddataandbuildstandards/specifications.
- Applyandinputappropriatehours,materialcosts,andpurchasecoststoproduceaccuratecostmodels.
- PrepareformalquotesandproposalsforsubmissiontotheSalesDepartmentandCustomers.
- Interactwithinternaldepartmentstoestablishcostmodelsbasedonactualdata.
- Workwithoutsidesupplierbasetoobtainquotes/pricingonproductstoassurepricingaccuracy.
- Otherdutiesasrequired.

Skills&Experience;:

- KnowledgeofGauges,CheckingFixtures,AutomatedDataCollectionFixtures,Work-HoldingFixtures,EndofArmTooling,andgeneralPart-HoldingSpecialtyTooling.
- ExperiencewithAutomotiveOEM’sandMajorTierSuppliers.




- FamiliaritywithSolidWorksanddatareview.
- GD&TandgeneralfixtureconceptssuchasAttributeChecks;,Simulations,MasterParts,andSPC.
- DirectexperiencewithMechanicalDesign,MachiningProcesses,Metrology,andFixtureBuild,anasset.
- Understandingofqualitysystems(ISO),5S,andLeanManufacturingprinciples

Requirements:

- Thoroughnessandattentiontodetail.
- Excellentverbalwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
- Abilitytoworkindependentlyandadheretodeadlinesandschedules.
- PositivelyinteractwithCustomers,colleagues,andmanagement.
- ValidOntarioDriver’slicense.
- FollowallHealthandSafetyprocedures.

Education:

- HighSchoolDiplomarequired.
- CollegeDegreeinMechanicalEngineeringorsimilardisciplineandasset.
- Directrelevantworkexperience.
