About the Role: Food Service Supervisor
As a Food Service Supervisor at Tim Hortons, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. You'll set work schedules, ensure sanitation and safety procedures are followed, and step in to address any customer concerns that arise during your shift.
This position calls for someone who can work well under pressure, communicate clearly with both staff and customers, and maintain a high standard of food service quality consistently across every shift. You'll be expected to lead by example and keep the team motivated and on track.
Benefits and Salary
This position offers a wage of $16.25 per hour for 35 to 40 hours per week . Tim Hortons also provides a dental plan and vision care benefits , giving you access to meaningful health coverage as part of your total compensation package.
Responsibilities
As a Food Service Supervisor ,
your day-to-day work keeps the restaurant running efficiently from open to close. You'll manage a team across multiple roles - from servers and food preparers to kitchen helpers - ensuring everyone is aligned, productive, and delivering quality service to every guest.
- Establish methods and schedules to meet daily operational targets and workflow demands
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning
- Train new and existing staff in job duties, sanitation protocols , and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supply quantities required for meal preparation to avoid shortages or waste
- Ensure that all food and service consistently meet quality control standards
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain records of stock levels, repairs, sales figures, and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports as required by management
Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings at least two years of hands-on experience in the food service industry and feels comfortable taking charge on busy shifts. Tim Hortons values people who are client-focused , adaptable, and strong communicators who can keep a team motivated even under pressure.
- Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2 to less than 3 years of relevant food service experience
- Communication: Excellent oral communication skills in English or French
- Flexibility: Availability for shift or on-call work including evenings and weekends
- Team player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead a diverse team
- Client focus: Strong orientation toward customer satisfaction and service quality
- Security: Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check
