Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Founding Pet Sitter at Petsity.

The Pet

Sitter will provide attentive, compassionate care for pets in clients’ homes or designated locations, including feeding, exercising, administering basic medications as instructed, and ensuring a safe environment. Daily tasks include following specific care instructions, offering enrichment and companionship, monitoring pet health and behavior, and maintaining cleanliness of living and play areas. The role also involves clear communication with pet guardians through updates, photos, and reports, as well as coordination of schedules and bookings via the Petsity platform.

The Pet





Sitter may perform house sitting duties such as basic home upkeep, plant care, and security checks while clients are away.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling, basic health awareness, and comfort with a variety of species.
- Candidates should possess practical Pet Sitting experience, with the ability to follow detailed care instructions and provide consistent, reliable supervision.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to deliver transparent updates, respond to inquiries, and maintain professional, friendly interactions with clients.
- Candidates should possess house-sitting skills, including responsible home management, attention to security, and respect for clients’ property.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior skilled pet care experience, familiarity with exotic pets, basic first aid knowledge for animals, and the ability to manage multiple bookings and schedules.
- Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable using online platforms or mobile apps for scheduling and messaging.
