Aecon Construction Solutions

Inc. (ACSI) is a multi-disciplined construction company offering superior civil, electrical and mechanical services including piping, insulation, scaffolding, and module fabrication. We’re always on the search for exceptional craft candidates to fill our ever-expanding project portfolios. ACSI is seeking experienced Carpenter Foreperson who will be integral to our project’s success.

Respond to inquiries promptly and carry out work as required to satisfy client requests and project quality standards. Build a level of knowledge and understanding of safety practices, scheduling techniques, trade knowledge and employee engagement. Maintain regular communication with Supervisors and Project Managers regarding project’s progress, risks,



and forecasts Undertaking the layout (selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, measuring and marking materials).

Prepare, erect and remove structural formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams and shafts. Cutting and shaping materials and joining them with nails, screws, bolts or glue. Checking completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location.

General carpentry such as framing, hoarding, doors and frames and other activities as assigned. Journeyperson will mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety.

Experience as a Carpenter Foreperson in an industrial construction environment. Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg. Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies. Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
