With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy. Responsible for the overall performance of the Main Line Fryer, Dryer, Blancher, Ingredients, and the results produced.

Starts up and monitors the operation of the equipment. Maintains oil, heat, and speed levels of the Fryer. Monitors product color, texture, shape, weight, and controls waste. Operates all equipment pertaining to the Fryer area (Fryer, Blancher, Ingredient Station, Dryer, and Batter) in a protected and efficient manner.

Performs blanch tests to determine whether the product is sufficiently blanched. Performs sugar analysis testing. Performs blancher/dryer/fryer weight loss tests to assess the impact of processing changes on final product specification.

Maintains good housekeeping and sanitation practices in the fryer area including boil-outs, 5S, and routinely scheduled tasks. Maintains all required documentation including entering SPC data. Accurately consumes materials in SAP.

Completes routinely scheduled sanitation tasks including high pressure washing, scrubbing, deep cleaning,



waste disposal, and general housekeeping. Must have strong communication skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, and maintain good working relationships with supervision and coworkers; ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work on a rotating shift basis.

Willing and able to train and operate both lines. Able to exercise good judgment in decision-making related to production line operation. Experienced with the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with WHMIS.

Must be willing to obtain Forklift License, Fire Extinguisher Training, Confined Space & Rescue, Personal Fall Protection and Scissor/Boom Lift. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control software (InfinityQS) and general production requirements is an asset.
