The Role

Fuel Pricing Analyst – Northeast Business Unit, Fuel Department. The analyst develops and implements fuel pricing strategies to achieve volume and profit goals, supports the operations team on fuel‑related issues, and collaborates with fuel sites to deliver on‑site experience targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain the fuel product pricing function by analyzing current market conditions, sales volumes, costs, competitive prices, and supply forecast.
- Establish retail fuel prices, monitor competitive reactions to price changes, and determine relationships between price changes and profit.
- Achieve pricing strategy goals of market share growth and profit by analyzing past sales performance, monitoring competitive pricing and cost data, and reviewing the sales budget and projected sales.
- Present recommendations to management, incorporate input from the operations team, and monitor implementation.
- Maintain and update databases that provide pricing and site‑level information essential for daily pricing decisions and analysis of market elasticity.
- Conduct compliance audits on assigned areas to maintain performance metrics with pricing strategies at a site level.
- Contribute to team by accomplishing financial and key result area targets pursuant to company plan guidelines.
- Create and submit daily, weekly, and periodic fuel reports.
- Act as the primary liaison for fuel operations and drive fuel pricing initiatives through proactive coaching and guidance of operational teams.
- Work closely with operations to achieve site experience targets across all fuel sites.




- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and tax adjustments to proactively adjust pricing strategies.
- Administer site price changes and maintain the fuel pricing system.
- Support special projects to meet objectives as required.
- Work flexible hours; occasional weekends and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business or a related field preferred. Combination of experience and education that meets the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Experience: 1–3 years of data analytics experience or more preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Radical curiosity of retail and the constantly changing marketplace; proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; working knowledge of Power BI is an asset.

Physical Demands

- Sit for long periods of time.
- Operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry.
- View computer monitor.
- Hear and speak via telephone.

Work Environment

- Noise level is usually moderate.
- Lighting includes natural light from outside and fluorescent lighting throughout the work areas.
- Temperatures are usually moderate to a normal range.
- Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
