We're looking for a Staff Accountant who is interested in more than traditional accounting. This role combines accounting, financial reporting, ERP optimization and process improvement, giving you the opportunity to make a direct impact on how our finance team operates.

As Staff

Accountant, you'll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial information while helping improve the systems and processes behind it. You'll work across accounting, financial reporting and ERP systems, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, automate processes and make financial information more accessible to decision-makers.This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys both the numbers and the systems behind them. Prepare and process invoices, payments,



and expense reports and monitor the status of accounts payable Reconcile bank and credit card statements Analyze and implement ERP system enhancements to improve accounting and finance processes Develop and maintain financial workflows, controls, and system documentation Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and reports Train finance users on ERP processes and best practices Ensure data integrity, compliance, and internal controls within financial systems Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field ~3+ years of accounting or finance experience ~ Solid knowledge of accounting standards, budgeting and internal controls ~ Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills ~ ASSETS CPA designation or CPA candidate Experience with ERP implementation or optimization Experience with process mapping and process improvement Generous paid time off and holidays Established in 1952, Forest Protection Limited is a Canadian aviation and forest management organization headquartered in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
