ASR Group® companies also produce and market Tellus®, a single-use, compostable tableware and foodservice product made from plant fibers, including sugarcane. This candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and internal controls, assist in the coordination of the month-end and year-end close, ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and cost reports, and utilize analytical skills to identify and report on variances. As this change is implemented, the Finance Department role is expected to become more analytical and less transactional in nature.

Prepare monthly journal entries and monthly account reconciliations Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package and annual audited financial statements Manage several B/S accounts including prepaid expenses, miscellaneous receivables,



and accruals Payroll accounting and related reconciliations Assist with financial audits and tax requests Prepare various government reports and surveys Maintain global financial master data throughout the various ERP systems Participate in projects, group initiatives, implementations, and system upgrades Identify opportunities for efficiencies and process improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls Bachelor’s degree in accounting ~ CPA in progress; 2-3 years of accounting experience with a “Big 4” firm preferred ~ Proven accounting experience and thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls ~ Extensive ERP experience, SAP preferred ~ Advanced Excel skills and other Microsoft Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, and others) Ability to work collaboratively across departments with a focus on team work and continuous improvement Ability to be respectful, approachable and team-oriented while building solid working relationships For more than 100 years, our employees have taken pride in “Making Life a Little Sweeter” by providing our customers and consumers with quality service and sugar products.
