Make a real impact as an Addiction and Mental Health Worker with the Canadian Mental Health Association in London, Ontario. You’ll provide critical support via phone, text, and webchat to those facing mental health and addiction challenges. As part of the Reach Out/988 team, you’ll engage directly with individuals in crisis, ensuring they feel connected and understood.
This full-time position requires working 70 hours biweekly with rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, while providing essential crisis management and resources. You'll also maintain a safe and supportive workplace for clients focused on recovery. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis support and information via multiple communication channels
- Establish therapeutic relationships to enhance client engagement
- Conduct mental health and risk assessments
- Liaise with community resources for client support
- Advocate for clients' access to needed services
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in social work or psychology
- Current satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Experience in crisis intervention preferred
- Bilingualism in official languages is an asset
- Demonstrated regular attendance in previous roles
