Become a Building Serviceperson I with the University of Waterloo, focusing on building maintenance and repair. This full-time position ensures clean and functional spaces within a vibrant campus. In this role, the Building Serviceperson I at the University of Waterloo will work under the Facilities - Building Maintenance II department.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including general repairs, renovations, and ensuring building safety and functionality. Candidates should be licensed General Carpenters with a minimum of five years’ experience, particularly in institutional or commercial construction. Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, renovate, and maintain campus facilities
- Carry out drywall and interior finishes installation
- Manage furniture maintenance and repairs
- Install and service various door and window types
- Coordinate special project designs and implementations
Requirements:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent education
- Must hold a General Carpenter license in Ontario
- Minimum of five years experience in carpentry
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings
- Valid Ontario 'G' driver’s license required
