Join the Lloydminster Operations Centre as a full-time Parks Caretaker for a term of approximately 12 months, where your horticulture skills will shine. You'll ensure landscapes are beautiful, healthy, and protected for the community. This role demands a blend of two years' experience and post-secondary education in horticulture or landscaping.
As a Parks Caretaker, you'll engage in various tasks, including maintaining flower beds, operating landscaping equipment, and supervising seasonal staff. The goal is to enhance the park's usability, ensuring a welcoming environment for all. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planting and maintenance for parks' landscapes
- Prune trees to prevent safety hazards and promote health
- Operate equipment such as wood chippers and turf machines
- Maintain irrigation systems and repair as needed
- Keep trails clean and debris-free for public safety Requirements:
- Two-year horticulture or landscaping diploma required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant caretaker experience
- Valid Pesticide Applicator certification in Alberta/Saskatchewan
- Experience with landscaping and snow removal duties
