Responsibilities This position is primarily responsible for machining all gates from the casting. When the casting is received from pre-inspection, perform a visual check to ensure all sell material has been removed and validate the router. Use a conventional milling machine to machine all gates from the casting as per requirements.
Use required fixturing for the specific castings and inspect fixtures for damage and compliance. Perform other duties as required. Respect the values and code of ethics of the company. Respect the Workplace, Health & Safety programs of the company.
Qualifications Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to use measuring instruments. Ability to use a conventional milling machine. Ability to handle hoists. Visual dexterity. Manual dexterity. Physical standing all day. Uses sound judgment.
