SUMMARY The Graduate Assist will provide program support for the Center for Catholic Studies. The position is for the academic year. The workweek is an average of 15 hours, much of which is spent on the center’s signature events.

Compensation is $3500 per semester.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist director with creating and administering assessment surveys, collecting and recording data for various reports.
- Assist director and administrative assistant with Center programs and meetings.

EDUCATION

- Earned baccalaureate degree and enrolled as a degree-seeking master’s or doctoral student.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be conscientious, prompt and have respect for the confidential nature of the office.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, to attend and/or assist with Center events.
- Display a strong commitment to the mission of the institution and be able to articulate the value of a Catholic and Marianist education.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience running events.
- Professional demeanor, appearance and strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of general office equipment.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Positive, enthusiastic, flexible, creative and willing to learn.
- Self-starter and highly organized.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands of the position may include the moving of furniture for events.
