Position Overview

Carry out maintenance on company vehicles and ground support equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform preventative and routine maintenance servicing.
- Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
- Troubleshoot ground support equipment.
- Repair and overhaul ground support equipment.
- Maintain equipment in a safe condition.
- Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
- Remove, test, repair or replace components and accessories such as carburetors, governors, air and oil cleaners, ignition points and sensors.
- Keep tools and support equipment in safe and operational working condition; maintain clean and hazard‑free work areas.
- Complete GSE paperwork as required.
- Carry out any other tasks necessary and required by the company.

Qualifications

- High school diploma.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain Airport Security Clearance (RAIC).
- Preference for candidates who can communicate in at least two of Nunavik's official languages; ability to communicate in all three official languages is an asset.
- Preference for candidates holding certification as a nationally recognized automotive maintenance technician.
- Previous experience in the maintenance and repair of aviation ground support equipment is an asset.
- Priority given to candidates with experience working on GSE in Arctic environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.




- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be available for occasional northern travel.

Employment Conditions

Work location: Air Inuit Technical Center – Montréal‑Trudeau Airport.

37.5 hours per week (modified work weeks are offered to help employees balance work/home life). Company‑provided work clothing.

Compensation

Hourly wage starting at $27.87 – $46.82. The remuneration package and associated benefits will be in accordance with corporate policies.
