You as a Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E;) Coordinator will Be responsible for site specific safety including facilitating orientations, site inspections, review and filing of subcontractor’s pre-construction and weekly safety submittals and conducting / leading accident investigations when necessary.
Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and elevate issues to resolution. Organise and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Working At Heights, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid. Coordinate weekly safety audit summaries.
Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics. Regulate work site activity in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Coordinate Joint
Health & Safety Committees. Provide leadership for a best-in-class health and safety program.
You have a minimum of 3-5 years' of safety construction experience. You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.
You are working towards or are already certified under the Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a construction site. You are a holder of or working toward a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate. You have completed a college degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
