Occupational Health & Safety Advisor Reports to: Director, Operations We are looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Advisor to join our Operations team! This role is primarily responsible for working with the Operations team to develop, implement, and manage the Occupational Health and Safety programs! As our Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide hands‑on coaching and training to staff while working towards OSSE certification.

You will have the prospect to continually share your knowledge on sustainability opportunities, provide continuous improvement feedback, and champion safety for a progressive family‑owned company! You have strong people leadership skills, including coaching and motivating You have excellent planning, analytical, and organizational skills You have a working knowledge of various computer applications including Office 365 including SharePoint.

Occupational

Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.



Engage and empower the workforce around the importance of Health and Safety Monitor, analyze, and implement effective occupational safety and health programs. Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver training/information sessions, manage risks, and develop safe work practices.

Chair monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings and facilitate Health & Safety policies and programs. Provide monthly safety reporting, regular feedback on project status updates, and document incremental savings on WCB premiums. Maintain effective and progressive safety communication vehicles and coach team members on OHS policy and procedures.

Manage

WorkSafeBC related claims, Return to Work programs, create Training & Development standards and more.
