This position is responsible for the evaluation and review of computer-based systems and acts as project leader for new systems, new technology implementations and modifications to existing systems. Supports the management of staff responsible for Revenue systems and data management. Assists with Managing of staff including hiring, assigns work schedules, assesses staffing needs, identifies and pursues other resources if necessary and performs layoff and recall.

Assists with performance management and, when required, disciplinary action. Researches and oversees the implementation of current systems and current technology, as well as modifying and improving existing systems. Ensures the development and training of staff, related to the implementation of recent systems and changes to existing systems.

Maintains current knowledge of equipment, technology and techniques pertaining to Departmental and Corporate requirements and plans as they affect revenue systems. Oversees the development, standardization and inventory of revenue systems forms. Recommends changes to bylaws, policies and legislation relating to revenue systems and business activities, and implements approved changes.

Supports the ongoing development, implementation and revision of the strategic automation plan for the Division. Degree in computer science, commerce or related discipline.



Four to six years’ progressively responsible experience in the development and management of business systems, including data storage and retrieval, as well as a minimum of two years’ experience supervising and coordinating staff.

Thorough knowledge of financial business systems and their technical support requirements Thorough knowledge of the principles of organization, management and administration. Considerable knowledge of the methods, techniques and procedures used in data processing systems. Knowledge of the operations and capabilities of computers and related equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, including the ability to prepare and present presentations of a specialized nature. Demonstrated project management skills.
