As a Heavy Duty Mechanic at the Columbia Icefield, you will contribute in making the Columbia Icefield Adventure as protected as possible for our international guests.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, our #1 Core value of Safety 1st starts with you in ensuring the mechanical fitness of our motorcoaches, heavy equipment and 21 unique Ice Explorers. Perform preventative maintenance Test repaired equipment for proper performance Maintain daily record of all works orders, part orders and other administrative tasks Assist in training apprentice mechanics in the trade Valid Alberta (or inter-provincial) Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certification Also accepting resumes for 2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentice Familiar with MCI & Prevost highway coaches Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with airbrake (Q) endorsement an asset Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods in an outdoor environment.
