Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to keep our heavy equipment running robust. Positions are available in St. Margaret’s and Eel River (Baie Ste. Anne) NB.

Responsibilities

- Routine maintenance: oil and filter changes on all our big machines (tractors, loaders, excavators) and pickup trucks.
- Hands‑on repairs: everything from adjusting belts & chains to changing bearings, sprockets & hydraulic hoses.
- Specialized work: expert welding, metal fabrication, painting, and tire services.
- Technical tuning: installation and tuning of two‑way radios & antennas, plus low‑voltage DC electrical diagnosis and repair.
- Continuous improvement: looking closely at the root causes of downtime and developing solutions to improve reliability and longevity.

Compensation

Wages vary from $24.56 to $29.47 per hour (paid weekly), depending on skills and experience. Overtime is mandatory,



but is typically shared among team members so you still have a personal life. Work on Sunday is paid at 2× the regular rate. A typical week that includes evenings and possibly a Sunday could gross anywhere from $1500 to $1750, or more.
