Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Lifting Solutions is a high-performing team that engineers, manufactures, distributes, sells, and services artificial lift products designed to outperform the market. We also operate two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, located in Canada and Oman, where we use advanced technology to deliver high-performance products to clients worldwide. This position is located in Bonnyville Alberta and relocation support may be available for candidates outside of the immediate area.
As a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, you will join a well-supported shop team that keeps our oilfield service fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the field. This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who wants variety, modern tooling, strong apprentice support, and stable year-round work without constant travel or being away from home for extended periods. You are home every night, weekends are minimal, overtime is available but not mandatory, and you will work in a clean, organized shop with the equipment, people, and parts support needed to do the job right.

Multiple overhead cranes and the right equipment to support safe, efficient repairs. Variety of equipment and work scopes, from diagnostics and inspections to complex repairs and field-ready rebuilds. Strong apprentice support, with opportunities to lead, coach, and develop the next generation of technicians.

diagnostics, and repair work that directly supports safe and reliable field operations. Diagnose, repair, and improve the reliability of light-duty and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment.
Use your technical judgment to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, complete failure analysis, and recommend practical repair solutions. Perform CVIP inspections on the cab and chassis of light-duty and heavy-duty mobile equipment. Support and mentor apprentices by sharing technical knowledge, safe work practices, and practical troubleshooting approaches.
Participate in safety, technical incident, and equipment investigations when required. Remain current and compliant with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and required PPE standards. Pursue continued development through advanced diagnostics, manufacturer training, and technical learning opportunities.
This is a safety-sensitive role that may involve physically demanding work, shop-based repairs, exposure to oilfield equipment, and coordination with field operations. The successful candidate will be committed to safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and high-quality workmanship while contributing to a professional shop setting built on teamwork, pride, and reliability.
Registered Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Equipment
Technician certification or Interprovincial Red Seal certification is required. A CVIP license and prior welding experience are considered strong assets. Previous well servicing industry experience, particularly in artificial lift and/or continuous rod handling, is considered an asset.
