Brandt is currently seeking a Lead Hand for our Barrie Construction & Forestry location. This position is responsible for coordinating and directing the workload of the Service department for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work; advises makes recommendations to Shop Foreman and Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needed. Brandt is a customer driven company, privately owned and family run, strengthened by diversification and succeeding through specialization.

Directs and assists technicians and apprentices in the diagnosis of machine problems Advises Shop Foreman or Service Manager of all customer complaints May approve the release of equipment for delivery to customer May assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager Ability to work multiple shift patterns ~ 5+ years’ experience as a heavy duty service technician ~ Journeyman certificate required ~ Class 1 driver’s license considered an asset ~ Forklift license preferred Continuous Learning: through on-the-job training and educational opportunities.
