Sanctum 1.5 is a transitional care home for pregnant women who are at high risk of contracting HIV, are HIV positive or in active substance use.
We offer a supportive home for women and facilitate mother-infant bonding and reduce child apprehensions at birth. The home support worker provides care and support to clients. Clients may also be affected by mental illness, addiction, poverty, homeless or other psycho-social factors.
The home support worker will embody a patient centered harm reduction care model fostering an workplace of acceptance and understanding for residents. Day Shifts - 07:30-16:00 Evening Shifts - 15:30-00:00 Night Shifts - 23:30-08:00 Personal care & hygiene Build rapport with residents and provide therapeutic counselling Follow medical instructions carefully and consistently. Assist with meal preparation and planning.
Harm Reduction & Trauma and Violence Informed Care. Degree/diploma or certificate in social work, care aid, addictions, or related field Must retain Food Safety Certificate Naloxone Training is an asset
