Description

We are looking for one responsible home support worker/caregiver to help take care of our elderly parents with a disability in Stoney Creek, On.

Work in employer's/client's home. Public transportation is available. Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment.

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent.

Wage: $22 per hour for 30-44 hours per week.

Target Audience: Persons with a disability, Elderly, Male, Females.

Education: Secondary (high) school certificate, college or other courses related in home support. First aid certification preferred.

Work experience: Six months work experience preferred.

Languages: English.

Job duties

- Administer bedside and personal care.





- Assist clients in water (i.e., pool).

- Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walk).

- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of householder.

- Feed or assist in feeding.

- Change non-sterile dressings.

- Shop for food and household supplies.

- Provide personal care and companionship.

- Plan therapeutic diets and menus.

- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
