Role Description This is a on-call remote Hotshot driver role, operating primarily from the road while coordinating with dispatch and customers. The Hotshot driver will transport freight using a truck and trailer, ensuring loads are safely secured, delivered on time, and compliant with all applicable regulations. Day-to-day tasks include planning routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating regularly with dispatch about load status and any issues.

The driver will interact professionally with customers at pickup and delivery locations,



handle basic load checks, and maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the truck and equipment. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, adherence to safety standards, and reliable availability for time-sensitive assignments.

Qualifications

- Strong truck driving skills, including protected operation of a truck and trailer for hotshot and expedited loads.
- Valid CDL Class A (or equivalent appropriate license) and a clean driving record, with knowledge of relevant DOT regulations.
- Clear, professional communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, shippers, and receivers.
- Customer service skills to ensure respectful, timely, and professional interactions at pickup and delivery locations.
- Ability to manage schedules, plan routes, and work independently in a remote, road-based environment.
- Experience performing vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Comfort with using mobile apps or onboard systems for navigation, logging, and load updates.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in hotshot or commercial trucking is highly beneficial.
