Shared Health

Manitoba leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Reporting to the Director or Designate, Human Resource Services, Health Sciences Centre, the Senior Human Resource Consultant is responsible for the provision of human resource services and consultation to support clients in one or more areas within a portfolio including: Management Support – performance management, attendance management.

Employee & Labour Relations – contract interpretation, application of progressive discipline up to and including dismissal, grievance handling, investigation of workplace complaints, conducting exit interviews and collective bargaining. Organizational design – support clients in organizational design and re-design, expertise in reviewing and writing job descriptions, organizational effectiveness planning and implementation, team building expertise and coaching.

Talent

Management – experience in supporting talent management implementation, developing learning plans that are linked to talent management assessments and future role development. Learning, Education and Development – supporting employee and leadership education, learning and development,



writing and supporting learning plans for individuals and teams. HR Metrics and Reporting – using metrics, data and reporting in supporting client needs and identifying areas of emphasis for workplace improvement.

Talent

Acquisition and Recruitment – expertise in leading and supporting recruitments, using LinkedIn and other social media platforms, experience in supporting sourcing, interviews, reference checks, onboarding and orientation. This position supports the execution of key strategic Human Resources initiatives and is required to build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership roles to support the completion of day to day HR processes and procedure.

The Senior Human Resources

Consultant functions in a manner consistent with, and supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Shared Health. Minimum of seven years' experience in a unionized environment performing a broad range of Human Resource functions including: employee relations, labour relations, and staffing. Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution. Certificate in Human Resource Management from a recognized post-secondary institution with combination of experience.

Chartered

Skilled in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred. Work is primarily in an office environment. A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check is conditions of employment.
