Join BCIT’s Campus Planning and Facilities as a full time HVAC Mechanic. You will perform vital maintenance, repairs, and installations for diverse HVAC systems and ensure optimal building functionality. This role is essential for maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
You'll handle planned maintenance and emergency breakdowns, troubleshoot complex problems, and communicate across departments to resolve issues efficiently. A strong technical skill set is required, with a focus on building automation and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency trouble calls and take corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain work orders on HVAC systems and gas-fired equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to established plans
- Diagnose and repair building automation systems effectively
- Monitor and coordinate the work of service contractors Requirements:
- Valid Trades Qualification or Interprovincial Trades Ticket
- Two years of general trades experience in HVAC
- Four years of specific building automation experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical control systems
