Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background with experience in delivering and coordinating services in the HVAC industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong, long‑lasting, mutually beneficial professional customer relationships.
- Lead a group of technicians that provide equipment service, maintenance, and repairs for HVAC and mechanical equipment.
- Provide guidance and support to other HVAC technicians while efficiently managing their own tasks.
- Assist in solving equipment problems and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide technical assistance, training, development, motivation and leadership to the team.
- Assist the Service Manager with project planning, scheduling, and prioritizing of contracts and extra work to ensure service is provided in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with HVAC Regional Supervisors, Operations & Ainsworth support teams on contractual and service/maintenance issues to ensure client needs are met.
- Special projects and field recommendations.
- Performance management.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable health, safety and environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
- Assist and review quotes with the Quotation Department.
- Support Sales team to develop quotes for service and project related work.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- 10 years previous experience as a certified Journeyperson or HVAR related experience and hold a building maintenance qualification.
- Strong training and presentation skills.
- Excellent time management, planning and organization skills.
- A good understanding of Ainsworth products and services.
- Must have the ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence while paying strict attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently and demonstrate solid organizational and attention to detail skills.
