Skills Canada Saskatchewan is seeking an energetic, organized, and passionate In-School Education Coordinator to help youth discover exciting career opportunities in skilled trades and technologies.

As a key member of our team, you will travel to schools across Saskatchewan, delivering engaging presentations and hands-on workshops that inspire students to explore rewarding career pathways. You will build strong relationships with educators, industry partners, and communities while representing Skills Canada Saskatchewan at events, competitions, and outreach initiatives throughout the province.

About Skills Canada Saskatchewan

Skills Canada Saskatchewan is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting careers in skilled trades and technologies to Saskatchewan youth. Through hands-on learning experiences, competitions, and career awareness initiatives, we help students discover pathways that support Saskatchewan's future workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Program Delivery

- Deliver engaging presentations and hands-on workshops for students in Grades 6-12 across Saskatchewan.
- Facilitate interactive activities that showcase real-world applications of skilled trades and technologies.
- Promote awareness of apprenticeship pathways, post-secondary opportunities, and careers in skilled trades and technology sectors.
- Adapt programming to meet curriculum outcomes, classroom needs, and student interests.
- Foster inclusive, protected, and positive learning environments for diverse student populations.

School & Community Partnerships

- Coordinate school visits and program schedules with teachers, administrators, and school divisions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with educators, industry partners, community organizations, and Indigenous communities.
- Serve as an ambassador for Skills Canada Saskatchewan and its mission.

Events & Outreach

- Represent Skills Canada Saskatchewan at career fairs, conferences, trade shows, competitions, and community events.
- Support planning and delivery of major organizational events, including:
- o Skills Canada Saskatchewan Provincial Competition
- o National Skilled Trade and Technology Week activities
- o Trade and Technology Days (4-6 per year)
- o Support Team Saskatchewan at Skills Canada National Competition
- o Industry and stakeholder engagement events
- o Community outreach initiatives
- Assist with event logistics, registrations, participant communications, and onsite coordination.

Program Development & Evaluation

- Develop and enhance educational resources, presentations, activities, and promotional materials.
- Collect and analyze feedback from students and educators to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Track participation data and contribute to reporting and impact measurement.




- Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand youth programming across Saskatchewan.

Equipment & Resource Management

- Maintain, transport, inventory, and safely operate educational materials, tools, displays, and equipment.
- Prepare resources required for workshops, school visits, and events.

Additional Duties

- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and organizational planning activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and objectives of Skills Canada Saskatchewan.

Success in This Role A successful In-School Education Coordinator will:

- Deliver high-quality programming that engages students across Saskatchewan.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with schools and educators.
- Increase student awareness of skilled trades and technology career pathways.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of provincial events and outreach initiatives.
- Maintain high levels of educator and participant satisfaction.
- Support the continued growth and impact of Skills Canada Saskatchewan programming.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Career Development, Human Services, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with youth in educational, community, recreation, outreach, or similar settings.
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- Successful Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

- Comfort using tools, equipment, and technology during demonstrations and workshops.

- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with students, educators, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse communities.

Organization & Planning

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, school visits, and events simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Creativity & Innovation

- Passion for creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
- Ability to adapt programming based on participant feedback and emerging educational trends.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Digital Literacy

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.




- Experience using presentation software, including PowerPoint and Canva.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and virtual learning platforms.
- Experience creating digital educational or promotional content is considered an asset.
- Experience with data collection and reporting tools is considered an asset.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, carry, and transport educational materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to load and unload materials from vehicles.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during workshops, presentations, and events.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout Saskatchewan.

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)

- Experience in a skilled trade, apprenticeship, technical, or technology-related field.
- Experience in career education, youth mentorship, workforce development, or community outreach.
- Bilingualism (English/French) or fluency in an Indigenous language.
- Familiarity with Saskatchewan's education system and career development frameworks.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
