As we continue to grow, we are expanding our sales team and are looking for 2 Outside Sales Representatives who are passionate about building long-term customer relationships and driving new business growth.
The Outside Sales
Representative is responsible for managing an assigned territory in Ontario, growing the existing customer portfolio, and developing new business opportunities throughout Ontario. This is a relationship-focused sales position requiring frequent face-to-face customer interaction. The successful candidate will inherit an established book of business and is expected to develop new accounts within the assigned territory.
Candidates do not need to be technical experts when they join us—but they must demonstrate the ability and desire to quickly learn our products,
applications, markets, and customers. Car allowance and travel reimbursement Ongoing product and sales training Modern CRM and ERP tools (Epicor Prophet ERP and White Cup CRM) Training & Onboarding Every new Outside Sales Representative participates in a comprehensive onboarding program designed to ensure long-term success.
Training includes: Product applications and technical fundamentals Customer industries and market segments White Cup CRM Sales strategy and account management When training is successfully completed, representatives transition into full field responsibilities. Manage an assigned sales territory Take ownership of an existing customer portfolio Build long-term partnerships with customers Develop account plans to grow revenue and profitability. Conduct regular business reviews with key customers.
Prospecting new customers through strategic territory planning Networking The successful candidate is expected to consistently develop qualified opportunities that become long-term customers.
Customer
Visits 3-4 days per week on the road visiting existing and prospective customers ~1 day per week working from our Mississauga office for planning, CRM updates, quotations, meetings, and collaboration with the Inside Sales team.
Coordinate with Inside Sales to provide exceptional customer service ~ Maintain accurate CRM records ~ Achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives Customer Service Respond promptly to customer requests Resolve issues by working closely with Inside Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Quality Control Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts Identify emerging industries and market opportunities Share customer feedback with management 3 years of outside sales experience in B2B distribution of industrial or technical products ~ Ability to quickly learn technical products ~ Strong relationship-building and communication skills ~ Excellent presentation and negotiation skillsStrong time management and planning abilities ~ Owns a vehicle and valid driver’s license with willingness to travel Experience in industrial distribution Experience working with manufacturers, OEMs, fabricators, or industrial distributors Experience using CRM and ERP systems (Epicor Prophet 21 and White Cup CRM are assets) Enjoys meeting customers face-to-face Works collaboratively with Inside Sales and Operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance will be measured using a balanced scorecard that may include: New customer acquisition Existing account growth At Absolute Stainless, you will inherit an established customer base while having the prospect to significantly grow your territory through new business development. You’ll receive structured training, work alongside an experienced Inside Sales team, and represent one of Canada’s most respected distributors of stainless steel fasteners.
