The Ontario Native

Women’s Association (ONWA) is committed to enhancing safety for Indigenous women and girls. As a Community Safety Liaison, you will use your five-plus years’ experience to provide culturally relevant support and solutions. Understanding the unique challenges faced, you will collaborate with multiple agencies to improve community resources and service delivery. Key Responsibilities:

- Assess community needs regarding gang-related issues
- Create and implement tailored support services
- Facilitate collaboration among local agencies
- Organize and coordinate educational workshops
- Manage service planning and execution

Requirements:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field
- Experience serving Indigenous families and communities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current criminal background check and First Aid certification
