Agilus is seeking a skilled and experience Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team of industrial mechanics/ millwrights and electricians in a unionized, fast-paced food manufacturing environment for our client in the Moncton area. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of plant equipment and services while maintaining high standards of food safety and product quality.
General information:
- Annual Salary: $100,000-110,000 per year- based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a skilled maintenance team in a unionized setting.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, GMPs, and all Food Safety requirements.
- Drive preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize costs.
- Schedule and manage work orders using Maximo.
- Collaborate with production teams to address equipment issues and meet operational goals.
- Oversee plant projects, including coordination with contractors.
- Handle employee relations and performance management in line with the collective agreement.
- Support implementation of capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong communication across departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright or Electrician trade certification required.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years as a Maintenance Supervisor in a unionized, automated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in food, beverage, or packaged goods industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, OHSA, and preventive maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with CFIA, HACCP,
and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma is a plus).
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and operational budgeting.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have clean criminal background check.
