Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients, residents, and patients in achieving and maintaining optimum health within a people‑centered care approach across various settings including Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home (PCH), Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, and Home Care. The LPN performs within the full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency in accordance with Southern Health‑Santé Sud policies and professional standards. Proficiency in both official languages is essential (English/French).

Knowledge of Qualified Standards of Practice, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and Code of Ethics. Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative interdisciplinary environment that supports quality services, quality improvement, and staff empowerment. Given the cultural diversity of our region, ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required.

Qualification and Competencies (French) Compétences dans les deux langues officielles (français et anglais) est essentielle. Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).

Trauma Nursing Care

Course (TNCC) certification.

Certification en formation de soins infirmiers en traumatologie. May work occasionally evenings and weekends as necessary. May be required to travel to other regional facilities if required by the duties of the position.
