The Role

Our client is launching a new FSRA-regulated insurance operation in Ontario and is seeking experienced Insurance Advisors / Insurance Agents to help build and grow the Ontario book of business.

This is a commission-only, uncapped opportunity for an experienced Ontario insurance professional looking to build their own book with the infrastructure, marketing, compliance support and client opportunities of a global financial services group.

You will be responsible for writing, retaining and growing your own book of insurance business , with earnings directly linked to the business you generate.

Commission Structure

- 30% of annual insurance premiums
- 0.8% of segregated fund deposits
- 30% of segregated fund trailing commissions

The 30% trailing commission applies to ongoing trailing commissions generated by segregated fund business while it remains held, creating potential recurring income as your book grows.

Illustrative Earnings

- $172,800 annual premium → $51,840 commission
- $600,000 segregated fund deposits → $4,800 commission
- Plus 30% of applicable segregated fund trailing commissions

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years' active experience in the Ontario insurance market
- Current LLQP qualification in good standing – non-negotiable
- Proven track record of writing, retaining and growing a book of insurance business
- Strong knowledge of Ontario insurance carriers and underwriting appetites
- Good understanding of FSRA requirements and expectations
- Confident client-facing communication skills across phone, video and in-person meetings
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and growth-focused approach
- High standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance
