Our client is seeking an innovative and strategic Insurance Product Development Specialist to drive the creation and enhancement of new insurance products in Kimberley . This role is essential for understanding market needs, identifying opportunities, and translating them into competitive and profitable insurance offerings. You will work cross-functionally with actuarial, underwriting, marketing, and legal teams to bring new products to market successfully. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for new insurance products.
- Design and develop innovative insurance products, defining features, benefits, pricing strategies, and coverage terms.
- Collaborate closely with actuarial teams to ensure product profitability and risk adequacy.
- Work with legal and compliance departments to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop product launch plans and support marketing and sales teams in product rollouts.
- Monitor the performance of existing products and recommend improvements or updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the insurance industry , with a strong focus on product development or management.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, design, and launch successful insurance products.
- Excellent understanding of insurance principles, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
